Waterway Under Cawang Flyover must Be Normalized

Mayor of East Jakarta, Bambang Musyawardana, reviewed under Cawang Flyover, Monday (2/8) night. When he arrived, the place was inundated as high as 10 cm after being hit by rain on Sunday (2/7) afternoon.

He suspected puddle is due to clogged waterway under road towards Halim Perdanakusuma.

At noon, around 20 PPSU officers from Cawang were sent to clean up the waterway. They saw blockage and immediately pushed it using a bamboo, but broken due to hard object. They then spray it but the water suddenly turned away and did not penetrate to the waterway. His side also asked for help from Water Management Sub-Department.

"We checked the waterway last night, but we didn't see puddle under flyover. But it is only blockage," he explained.

He assessed, it should be solved as soon as possible. "If it cannot be normalized, we will make the new ones," he stressed.

If it is ignored, puddle will spill out onto the street and cause traffic jam.
